Engagement Session Location Tips
This past week’s gorgeous summer-like weather had me so inspired to share a few favourite images from Jess + Anthony’s beachy session this past September! Last week on the blog we talked a bit about one of your common questions (How to Avoid Awkward Engagement Photos), and today we’re tackling another one!
I’m a big believer that the most important part of your images is the two of you and showcasing your relationship in an authentic way - but the location for your session is something fun we collaborate on that will compliment that! Getting to know my clients and finding something that makes sense for them is one of the best parts of the planning process for me! Spots that are meaningful to you and your partner are so fun to utilize as it provides that added personal touch to your images to document this time in your life.
Sometimes the location idea comes from my clients (and then I make sure it works for backdrops and lighting), or sometimes I make the suggestions after learning about the vibe that you are looking for. This session in particular started with the question “Would you be willing to come to Long Point?”. The answer was yes, and the rest was history to give Jess + Anthony some personalized images in one of their favourite spots.
For those of you who don’t have any particular place in mind, my process is designed to find something perfect for you and I even have a whole list of spots that you can browse if you need some inspiration! If you’ve been around for a little while you know that I love to explore new locations, and this one was a perfect one to add to my list!
